CALLING ALL BUSINESS OWNERS WITHIN OUR D’EVELYN COMMUNITY!

The 2019 D’Evelyn DASH, to be held on August 24th, is right around the corner and we are currently seeking sponsorships. Not only will your business receive extensive exposure to our D’Evelyn families, but the promotion you receive will extend out to the general public in the form of posters and door hangers distributed throughout the community. We estimate that with the combined DASH 5k2k, the high school cross country meet, and the collection of promotional booths set up, the DASH draws roughly 3,000 people over the course of the morning!  For more information on sponsorship benefits, https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Up5KmFLCJVsiVhnPr92-d7KJSCWJek5v

Sponsorships are available from $150 to $1,000.  For more information on how you can become a D’Evelyn DASH Sponsor, please contact develyndashsponsorship@gmail.com.

King Soopers/City Market Community Rewards Program Changing

Those of you who have balances on your D'Evelyn King Soopers cards are in good shape.  Your current cards can be used until the balance reaches 0, and D'Evelyn will continue to receive 5% of those purchases.  However, as of April 1, these cards are not reloadable as they have been in the past. To convert to the new system, simply visit the appropriate link, below:

  • For King Soopers Stores - go to http://www.kingsoopers.com
  • For City Market Stores - go to http://www.citymarket.com

Once at the appropriate link, click on Welcome Sign In, My Account.  Enter your email address and password to sign into My Account.  New users will need to create an account, which requires some basic information, a valid email address, and a loyalty card.  The loyalty card, of course, is the card we all use when shopping at King Soopers or City Market to assure that we receive all the discounts available in the store on any given day.

Once logged into My Account, click on Community Rewards in the menu under My Account. You can search for D'Evelyn by entering the word D'Evelyn or the school's unique 5-digit code, XT742, and then click Enroll.  You are now successfully enrolled in D'Evelyn's new Community Rewards Program!

Please recall that purchases at King Soopers or City Market will not count for D'Evelyn until after you enroll your loyalty card.  Participants must swipe their enrolled King Soopers or City Market loyalty card or use the phone number related to your registered/enrolled King Soopers or City Market loyalty card when shopping in order for each purchase to count towards D'Evelyn's 5% rebate.

The beauty of this new system is that D'Evelyn supporters will no longer have to continually remember to reload their D'Evelyn King Soopers or City Market loyalty cards in order to assure that D'Evelyn receives 5% of your purchases.  You will also not require multiple cards for family members. You and everyone in your family who uses your loyalty card (or the phone number related to your registered/enrolled King Soopers or City Market loyalty card)  will be able to make purchases that generate 5% for D'Evelyn.  Simply stop by a King Soopers or City Market store, pick up a loyalty card if you do not already have one, enroll the card, and start shopping.

Scholars of the Month for May/August

The History Department recognizes Erik Christofferson as Scholar of the Month.  Erik's work ethic and intellectual curiosity combine in Erik asking thoughtful questions that not only stir the attention of his classmates, but force teachers to more fully discuss concepts and events and to do so in ways that are often more intriguing.  Erik's inquisitive nature in conjunction with his natural sense of humor bring out the best in everyone. - Monte Murphy

The History Department would like to recognize Bethany McCollough as Scholar of the Month. Bethany is both intellectually curious and highly achieving and her positive contributions to the classroom environment enrich and enhance the level of discussion, she is a true scholar. Nice work Bethany, keep it up! - Stacey McSkimin

Tomas Padilla has distinguished himself in 7th Grade Geography by his hard work and desire to really understand.  He frequently comes to me to ask for feedback or additional help and he readily applies that feedback.  He's hungry to improve and to grow and his teachable spirit is at the core of a true student.  I have appreciated his attitude, his respectful conduct, and his ability to focus independently.  Tomas steers his own course and is not deterred nor distracted by the influences of others.  - Keith Beams

Evelyn Oltmans is a model of how to blend hard work and fun in a classroom. She is a dedicated student who applies herself to learning every day while being able to enjoy the content with her classmates. Evelyn’s interactions with other students are always positive, and she always completes her work at an extremely high level. Evelyn’s attitude and effort this year have been a benefit not only to her classmates, but also to the entire D’Evelyn community. -  Mr. Gause
